Harvey F. Lodish, Ph.D, Member, Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research, Professor of Biology and Professor of Biological Engineering, Massachussetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, USA.
Dr. Lodish received his Ph.D. degree in genetics from the Rockefeller University in 1966 and joined the faculty of the MIT Department of Biology in 1968. He was promoted to Professor in 1976, and was appointed Founding Member of the new Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research in 1983. Dr. Lodish is the lead author of the textbook Molecular Cell Biology. He was also a founder and scientific advisory board member of Genzyme Inc., Arris Pharmaceuticals Inc., Millenium Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Allozyne Inc.
