KI Science Park AB is a wholly owned subsidiary company of Karolinska Institutet Holding AB, owned by Karolinska Institutet.

KI Science Park AB is a part of the KI innovation system, which is mainly managed by KI Holding AB. Some of the most important tasks for KI Holding is to establish joint ownerships in promising companies, provide good infrastructure for newly created enterprises and to offer administrative, legal and financial services to the around 45 companies in the portfolio.
Karolinska Institutet Holding AB makes it possible for KI to act commercially. This means that KI Holding can take risks and is allowed to make a profit - as opposed to state-owned Karolinska Institutet.
