Description:  ApiRays® has developed a recombinant apyrase enzyme called ApiOne® from bacterial origin that can instantly eliminate ATP, ATP by-products and ATP analogues. Using ApiOne® in ATP-based diagnostics, it is possible to improve the sensitivity of diagnostic and analytical tests, including ATP-based bioluminescence and colorimetric tests. The uniqueness of ApiOne® can be extend to applications in biomedicine, food and beverages, drug discovery and pharmaceutical industries. ApiOne® provides significant advantages for the DNA sequencing industry, especially Pyrosequencing as it can increase the DNA read-lengths by at least 20%. Our patented solutions not only provide a superior alternative to potato apyrase but could also reduce the experimental turn-around time up to 40%, thus reducing costs.

Handfast AB

CEO:  Lena KrumlindeHandfastlogo

Web:  www.ahanetwork.se

Description:  The Company Handfast AB provides Certification Courses – worldwide – within Assisting Hand Assessment (AHA)  to  Institutes, clinics or others who want to host a course are welcome to contact Handfast AB for inquiries about arrangements.

The Assisting Hand Assessment (AHA) is a hand function evaluation instrument, which measures and describes how children with an upper limb disability in one hand use his/her affected hand (assisting hand) collaboratively with the non-affected hand in bimanual play.

The test is developed for use with children who have a unilateral disability, i.e., who have one well functioning and one less well functioning hand. Children with hemiplegic Cerebral Palsy or sequale from obstetric brachial plexus palsy (OBPP) are appropriate candidates for the AHA. The AHA can be used with children as young as 18 months and up to 12 years of age.

The AHA has the unique perspective of assessing how the child use their two hands together, in a fun and engaging situation where using two hands is natural. It is the child’s spontaneous and normal way of handling objects when playing that is assessed, not their best capacity to grasp, release or manipulate objects when prompted to use their affected hand. This makes the AHA a measure of usual performance.

The courses are provided in English, German, French, Dutch or Swedish. Courses in English with direct interpretation to other languages have also been conducted e.g. to Italian and Portugese.
